This manual has been recovered recently from a Squib recovery ship near the ruins of Byss. Historians have found that it comes from the period of around 115 BBY. The texts in the book are still older, they were written at least a decade after the end of the New Sith Wars in the year 1000 BBY.
This manual was recovered recently from a Squib recovery ship near the ruins of Byss. Historians have found that it comes from the period around 115 BBY. The texts in the book are older still, written a decade or so after the end of the New Sith Wars, in the year 1000 BBY.
The book contains valuable information on the Jedi, written not only by Jedi Masters, but also by candidates. Over the years, the book was passed from Master to Padawan, and they added their own annotations.
Yoda, for example, comments that he met Grand Master Fae Coven when he himself was still a green youngling he was. Ahsoka comments, too, asking, "Yoda was a youngling?"
Students that work through the various chapters of power should be well-prepared for whatever awaits them.
Part 1: Introduction to the Jedi Order
This section contains important information about the codex, history and structure of the Jedi Order.
Part 2: Initiate
What a Jedi wears, what constitutes the Three Pillars of the Jedi (power, knowledge and discipline), how to operate a lightsaber and the tests students should expect can be found in this part of the book.
Part 3: Padawan
Further lightsaber instruction and more on tests, but also a lot of information about the Jedi corps, equipment, culture and politics.
Part 4: Jedi Knight
After training, it is important to know the duties and responsibilities of a Knight. What paths are open to the Jedi, what power techniques are banned and what dangers threaten the Jedi Order can all be learnt here. The book concludes with a chapter on the conquest of death.
An interesting book this is... Careful you should be with it, for much power does it contain...
An incredibly entertaining and fondly designed book, not only for long-established fans but also for Star Wars newcomers!
