Our Geek Shop has the most innovative and fun gadgets

getDigital is not just any online shop - by virtue of our own arrogance we like to call ourselves THE one true and greatest online shop for geeks and nerds in Germany ;) We do everything we can to make sure you feel comfortable on our website and find your way around easily. Have you already taken a look at our community area? In our blog, for example, you can get a look behind the scenes of a geek shop. But the main thing is of course to offer you new and exciting gadgets and shirts on all topics that interest you: Star Wars geeks will get their money's worth in our Star Wars Merchandise section. Of course you can also find gifts for every occasion here - whether for yourself or for your favorite geek. Are you a fan of the action-adventure games portal? Then you can't miss our Portal Merchandise section.

The Geek: A frequently misjudged species.

It is difficult to give a precise definition of the term geek. However, it can be roughly said that a geek is someone who proudly shows off their popular culture preferences and likes to talk shop about these topics. This does not necessarily have to be done with arrogance and an "I know everything better" attitude. No, a nerd can also have a lot of knowledge and at the same time be a sociable person. We at getDigital know this all too well, after all, we are in constant contact with geeks and nerds. Equipping yourself with the right merchandise has nothing to do with vanity, but above all with celebrating your own inclinations, zest for life and the ability to laugh at yourself. This can be done, for example, with T-shirts that parody wisdom and clichés from the nerd world. Geniuses at work, Trekkies and superhero fanatics have their very own expressions that it would be a shame to just keep to yourself. And if you ask nicely, any nerd will happily explain the background. This turns every curious person into a potential new addition to the global geek community.

Geek and Camp: A Love Story.

Geeks often enjoy what is known as camp culture. In short, "camp" in the deepest technical jargon encompasses what many people call kitsch or junk. This can be, for example, cartoon series that are actually aimed at a young clientele or wonderfully superfluous stylizations: bottles shaped like Darth Vader, trading cards, synth pop from decades past, cookie tins and toys that are so out of date that they're already in again. But that's exactly what camp is about: enjoying what isn't actually necessary, but which is all the more dazzling and stands out. Objects that can be assigned to geek camp are in abundance at getDigital. Anyone who clicks through the various product categories here is essentially strengthening their personal, popular culture general knowledge. Please pass this on to the next generations!
