Description Hexbugs

Whoever voluntarily brings insects and other crawling creatures into the house is either an insect collector, frog breeder, or - and this is of course much more likely - a lover of Hexbugs!

Even if you belong to the type of person who usually only approaches bugs and the like with a vacuum cleaner, fly swatter, insect spray, and face protection: With the Hexbugs, you will definitely fall into an Ooh, they are so cuuuute! Hexbugs are robots, and everyone likes robots!
Since Hexbugs react differently to the environment depending on the type, they always hold a little surprise because they all handle obstacles individually:

  • The Hexbug Nano is the tiny one among the robot bugs. At 4.5 cm, he is significantly shorter than his big brothers. He moves by vibrating his legs made of flexible rubber. When he encounters an obstacle, he also changes direction. The Hexbug Nano is about 1.5 cm high.
  • The Hexbug Spider is the titan among the clever robots, with a height of 7 cm and a width of 11 cm. The monstrous six-legged spider can be controlled with a two-channel remote control. A direction switch is used for forward and backward movement, and another one rotates the spider's head, thereby determining the direction of movement.
  • Similar to Nano, the Hexbug Scarab behaves similarly. The six-legged beetle, modeled after a scarab, scurries away at lightning speed with its twitching limbs as soon as it is turned on. It rapidly changes direction when it encounters an obstacle, and even if it falls over, the approximately 6 cm long little guy will eventually get back up - although with great effort.
  • The Hexbug Wasp moves particularly elegantly through the area, swinging its abdomen back and forth, which brings it very close to its animal counterpart. Unlike a real wasp, however, you always have full control over the good 11 cm long robot thanks to the remote control and don't have to be afraid of stings!

It's certainly a lot of fun when many Hexbugs crawl through the wide world at once. It can happen that you lose sight of one or the other Hexbug, and it then scares your cat or grandmother. For this reason, you should grant your new little darlings their own enclosed living space.

Unfortunately, our shipping process does not allow us to handle the different colors of the Hexbugs (see pictures) individually. You will receive your Hexbug in a random color.
