Description I Beat The Kobayashi Maru
As "Kobayashi Maru" is referred to a test of the Starfleet Academy. In a simulation, the test participant is confronted with a no-win scenario: The freighter Kobayashi Maru, having hit a gravimetric mine, sends a distress call from the Klingon Neutral Zone. The commander must now make a decision. Either rush to the ship's aid - thereby breaking the treaty with the Klingons, or ignore the distress call and protect their own crew from an encounter with a superior number of Klingon cruisers.
More of a character test than a task with a right or wrong solution, the Kobayashi Maru test is meant to reveal how officers would decide and behave in such a situation. But is the Kobayashi Maru test really unbeatable? If you strictly adhere to the rules, then perhaps not. But those who, like James T. Kirk, do not believe in no-win scenarios, possess enough willpower and creativity - and know when it is okay to cheat and when not ;) - create their own solution.
