Description Glowing Bath Duck
Whether geek or non-geek, after a long day of mental or physical work, there is nothing better than a hot bath. With lots of foam. And of course, a duck. Without a rubber duck, it's just not a real bath; you might as well shower or skip it altogether...
Of course, this duck can do a bit more than its yellow counterparts. Above all, it glitters! Don't worry, the glitter won't come off after the first bath, as it is embedded in the rubber itself. Even better, the duck lights up as soon as its "feet" (we imagine it has some) touch the water. As long as it floats, it glows in a color-changing sequence of green-blue-pink. Very soothing and especially epic in a dimly lit bathroom. ;)
The bath duck lights up via the integrated battery and the two contacts on its underside (see photo). Since water conducts electricity, the circuit is completed, and the duck lights up. This also works with a moistened finger and, of course, in smaller containers, as you can see in the photos. The light changes slowly and smoothly; the duck does not blink.
Since the duck must be waterproof, the battery cannot be replaced. In a record attempt at continuous bathing, the duck would swim by your side for about 3 days. Under normal bathing conditions, it lasts a bit longer. But even if the battery should eventually run out after many rounds in the tub, you will still be the proud owner of a purple glittering duck! :)
