Description Star Trek XI Phaser
Star Trek has brought forth many great inventions: Besides the replicator, warp drive, and holodeck, the phaser is also one of the things without which the modern Starfleet officer cannot do.
In real life, we are unfortunately not yet advanced enough to produce 'particle beam weapons' that shoot at the speed of light and whose 'energy' beam is still visible (!), but until that time comes, you can practice a bit with the Star Trek XI Phaser ;)
The Star Trek XI Phaser is the model of a futuristic handheld weapon used in the eleventh Star Trek film. The replica features authentic light and sound effects.
There is a setting for 'stun' (blue), as well as another setting for 'vaporize', which is a less martial term for killing, but means about the same (red).
Switching from stun to vaporize is done by pressing a button. If you want to switch back to stun mode, the adjustment is made by manually rotating the corresponding segment in the phaser's barrel. The sound effects are, of course, adapted to the different settings. Additionally, there is a 'power-up' dial on the upper part of the barrel to increase the energy supply.
Just like the original, the Star Trek XI Phaser can emit both a continuous beam and short bursts of fire. However, the phaser beam is only acoustically imitated, not visualized ;)
The Star Trek XI Phaser is a fun gadget for Trekkies of all ages, with which you can fight imaginary Klingons or Romulans and which should not be missing from any Star Trek collection.
