Campo del Cielo is the name of a field of impact craters in Argentina and of the fragments of an iron meteorite found there.

By examining wood that was preserved near the craters, the age of the craters was determined using the radiocarbon method. This indicates that the meteoroid impact must have occurred 4,000 to 6,000 years ago.

Chemical composition: 92.6% iron, 6.68% nickel, 0.43% cobalt, 0.25% phosphorus, 87 ppm gallium, 407 ppm germanium and 3.6 ppm iridium.

Shape and size vary from fragment to fragment, as these are of course unique pieces.
