It’s perfectly normal if you don’t get along with everyone you meet – some things are just not meant to be. In this situation, the small oil droplet gets called a hydrophobe by the water droplet – even though the non-polar oil cannot mix with the polar water molecules! After all, chemistry is truly a cruel and harsh mistress…
