Travel at the speed of light for once: With the right warp drive, this is of course no problem. Jean-Luc Picard, the iconic character from “Star Trek: The Next Generation”, also became a member of the “Speed of Light” club at a young age and at the beginning of his service in Starfleet, for which he received this Picard Speed of Light Club badge.
All members of Starfleet automatically join this club as soon as they have completed a flight at the speed of light while on duty. As a memento of this special event, everyone receives an individual badge so that they can remember the exact moment later.
As noted on the plaque, Picard was still a cadet on the USS Leondegrance at the time of his first journey at the speed of light in 2327. The fact that he would later command one of Starfleet's most famous ships, the Enterprise D, was not yet foreseeable at the time.
The plaque is used as a prop in the series “Star Trek: Picard”. It has holes in all four corners and can therefore also be attached to the wall with nails.
